Ghost Garland This not-so-spooky craft is the perfect way for your autistic kiddo to practice fine motor skills and help decorate for Halloween! What you'll need:
Copy paper
Scissors
Hole puncher
Glue
Cotton balls
Black construction paper
String or yarn Instructions:
Assist your kiddo in outlining 5-8 ghosts on your copy paper, depending on how long you want your garland to be and how large you want your ghosts.
On your black construction paper, assist your kiddo in drawing circles to create the eyes and mouths of your ghosts.
Assist your kiddo in cutting out each of their ghost pieces.
Take your string and measure out at least 6 inches, as you'll want a little extra for tying. Cut the same number of ghosts you have. This is how you'll secure the ghosts to your garland.
Use a hole puncher to create a small hole at the top of each ghost and assist your kiddo in tying a string through each. Have your kiddo use glue to secure cotton balls onto the paper to form the ghosts' bodies. They can cover where the string is tied, so it looks like your ghost is flying.
Add glue to the back of your ghost's eyes and mouth, securing them to your ghost to create their faces.
Face each ghost down to dry at the distance you'd like them to be on your garland.
While your ghosts dry, take your string and cut it to the size you would like your garland to be.
Assist your kiddo in tying each ghost string to the garland string. Ensure each ghost is fully dry before using it to decorate your home!Download Now!
