Our Grocery Store Silly Blanks activity helps autistic children build language skills, practice creativity, and create a funny story about grocery shopping.

The (pick a color) Happy Apple needs to go shopping for some (adjective) groceries, so they need to go to the grocery store. When they arrive, they need to grab a (adjective) (noun) to put their items in. Checking their grocery (noun), they can see all the items they need to (verb) from the store. The first item is (adjective) butter, which they can find in the (noun) section, along with items like (adjective) cheese, (adjective) yogurt, and (adjective) (noun). The next item they need is (adjective) bread, which they can find at the (noun). The (noun) always smells (adjective) because of the baked goods made each day. The final thing to (verb) is some (adjective) vegetables, which can be found in the (noun) section. There are so many (adjective) vegetables to choose from, like (adjective) broccoli, (adjective) zucchini, and (adjective) (noun). The (pick a color) Happy Apple decided to (verb) some (adjective) (noun) and cross vegetables off their list. It’s finally time to (verb) for the groceries at the (noun). After the (adjective) cashier scans each item, place them in a (noun), the Happy Apple (verb) for the groceries, and leaves the (noun).
