Crazy Snail Shells
Let’s make some crazy homes for our cute snail friends! This easy craft is perfect for your autistic kiddo to practice fine motor skills and creativity. What you’ll need:
Construction paper
Marker
Scissors
Glue
Googly eyes
Decorations: pompoms, gems, glitter, etc. Instructions:
On a piece of construction paper, assist your kiddo in drawing a snail. Start with a large circle for the shell, then create the tail and head underneath. From the snail's head, draw two eyestalks and make them thick enough so you can easily cut them out.
Assist your kiddo in cutting out the snail outline from the construction paper, carefully cutting around the eyestalks to later attach the googly eyes.
And now the fun part! Allow your kiddo to decorate the snail shell with all the fun items they want, gluing each item in place on the shell.
Once the snail shell is decorated, apply a small amount of glue to the back of your googly eyes and paste them at the ends of the eyestalks.
With a marker or color pencil, add a smile to your snail, and they are finished!Download Now!
