4th of July

Whether it’s watching fireworks, enjoying a family barbecue, or participating in a parade, this social story helps to explain what to expect, how to stay safe, and ways to manage sensory experiences.

Every year we celebrate America’s Independence Day on the 4th of July. To celebrate we watch Fireworks. Fireworks can be every color of the rainbow! Fireworks can be loud and bright. If they are too loud, I can cover my ears or wear my headphones. If the colors are too bright, I can close my eyes or wear my sunglasses.
If I get scared I can hold on to my mom, dad or my toy. I watch the fireworks in the sky and do not touch them when they are on the ground. I let the grownups light the fireworks. I make sure to listen to the grownups’ instructions so I can enjoy the firework show!Download Now!
