Cleaning Up My Room

Sometimes rooms get messy—and that’s okay! This social story helps kids learn how to clean up by putting away clothes, toys, and supplies. A tidy space makes it easier to play, move around, and feel proud!

Cleaning Up My Room Sometimes, my room gets a little messy.
When it's messy, that means it's time to clean up!
To clean up my room, I can:
Put dirty clothes in the hamper
Place my toys back in their bins
Fold and put my clean clothes away
Store my shoes in the closet
Put my school supplies in my backpack
Putting away the items in my room keeps my bed, dresser, and floor clear.
When the floor is not messy, it's easier to:
Walk around
Mop
Play
Playing in my room can sometimes get messy if I have a lot of toys. As long as I remember to clean up once I am done playing, it's okay.
If I need help cleaning up my room, I can always ask and learn where things go.
Keeping my room clean means it's ready for another day of play!Download Now!
