Going to the Beach

Help autistic children prepare for a beach day! This social story covers what to bring, fun activities to enjoy, and ways to stay safe in the sun.

Going to the Beach We're taking a trip to the beach!
To visit the beach, we will take:
Our bathing suits
A cooler with drinks and snacks
Sand castle and beach toys
Beach towels
An umbrella
The beach is full of sand and connects to the ocean, making it the perfect place to:
Swim in the water
Build sand castles
Lay in the sun
If I don't like how the sand feels on my feet, I can wear water shoes and sit on my towel.
The beach can also be very hot, so I need to make sure I drink lots of water and wear sunscreen.
Since the beach is a large, outdoor space, it's important that I stay with my group and make sure we can always see each other.
Trips to the beach are such a blast, being out in the sun and the water is the best!Download Now!
