Going to the Zoo

Help your child get ready for a fun and safe zoo adventure with our "Going to the Zoo" Social Story! This story is perfect for preparing kids—especially those with autism—for what to expect when visiting their furry friends at the zoo!

Going to the Zoo We're going to the zoo to see the animals!
At the zoo, we learn about animals that we don't get to see every day.
We may visit the habitats of:
Lions
Giraffes
Monkeys
Rhinos
Zebras
There will be a crowd at the zoo visiting the animals, so I need to stay safe.
To stay safe, I remember to:
Stay with the adult I came with
Walk around the zoo with "walking feet"
Listen to the zoo staff
The animals need to be comfortable in their habitats, so I make sure I respect them by:
Staying away from their habitat barrier
Putting trash in the garbage can
Use my inside voice so I don't disturb them
Seeing all the animals is really exciting, and enjoying the zoo with friends and family makes it even better!Download Now!
