Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras can be colorful, loud, and fun. Kids may see parades, beads, and costumes. We can stay with grown-ups, take breaks, and enjoy the day in our own way!

Mardi Gras Every year, 47 days before Easter, many people throw big parties to celebrate Mardi Gras.
These parties typically have a colorful theme of purple, green, and gold.
The date of Mardi Gras moves around, just like Easter’s does, so it’s a little different every year.
There are lots of traditions on Mardi Gras, including the game of King Cake.
The King Cake is usually a circular cake decorated in colorful icing and a small plastic baby baked somewhere in the cake.
If you cut a slice of cake and find the baby, you win the game and get good luck!
Other traditions you might find at a Mardi Gras party include:
Purple, green, and gold decorations
Colorful bead necklaces
People wearing fun masks
Jazz music playing
Some places even throw large parades for Mardi Gras, which include large floats and live music.
Mardi Gras is a lot of fun to celebrate with friends and family!Download Now!
