Who Are Farmers

Teach your autistic child all about farmers and their important role with this fun social story on what a farmer does!

Who are Farmers? A farmer is a person who grows the food that we eat.
Farmers work on farms with large fields and tend to those fields so they can continue to grow food in the future.
They can grow:
Vegetables
Fruits
Grains
Farmers plant seeds in their fields and water these seeds until they grow into plants.
When the plants are ready, they will harvest the food they grew.
Farmers also raise and take care of animals.
They care for animals like:
Cows
Chickens
Pigs
The animals are fed and taken care of to make sure they are healthy.
These animals help us get food like:
Milk
Eggs
Meat
Farmers work very hard every day, waking up early to tend the fields and the animals!
