Ocean Sensory Jar Let's bottle a bit of the ocean this summer in this soothing craft! Sensory toys have a variety of positive impacts on an overstimulated autistic child like reducing tension and having a calming effect. What you'll need:
Mason jar or water bottle
Clear glue
Water
Blue food coloring
Glitter
Superglue or hot glue
Plastic ocean animal toys
Rocks or shells Instructions:
Prepare your jar or water bottle. If there is a sticker on your water bottle, you can remove it with warm white vinegar or room-temperature rubbing alcohol.
Fill the jar over 3/4th of the way with clear glue before adding in your glitter. We recommend blue or gold to fit the ocean theme!
Add in your rocks and your ocean animal toys. Press them down into the glue.
Fill the remainder of the container with water, leaving some space at the top to allow your liquids to move around.
Add one drop of blue food coloring to create your ocean water.
Close the container with its lid and shake to mix the contents of your ocean jar.
If you're happy with the amount of glitter and the color, you can use your glue to seal the lid onto the container.
Once your jar lid is dry, your kiddo can enjoy their ocean sensory jar!Download Now!
