Going to the Doctor

Share this social story with your child to prepare them for the doctor's office.

It’s time for my check-up at the doctor’s office. We have to check in at the front desk when we arrive. If there’s a wait, we’ll sit down until my name is called.
When it's my turn, I'll go into the exam room. The nurse might check:
-How tall I am
-my weight
-my blood pressure The doctor will then join us in the room. They might check:
-My ears
-the inside of my mouth
-my heart and lungs When I am doing, I can thank the doctor for helping keep me healthy.
